Little Texas will perform an encore concert with all of their biggest hits, including three consecutive #1 singles: What Might Have Been, My Love, and the unofficial Texas anthem, God Blessed Texas. Fans can also look forward to chart-toppers like Amy’s Back in Austin, First Time for Everything, Kick a Little, and Some Guys Have All the Love, making for a performance packed with fan favorites.
Celebrating 37 years together, Little Texas has made a lasting impact on the country music scene with 12 Top 20 singles, including three consecutive No. 1 hits.
Known for their tight harmonies and high-energy performances, the band continues to tour worldwide. The group proudly features original members Porter Howell (lead guitar, lead vocals), Dwayne O’Brien (rhythm guitar, vocals), Duane Propes (bass, vocals), and Del Gray (drums), preserving the signature sound fans have loved for decades.
Since the release of their debut album First Time for Everything, Little Texas has risen to become one of country music’s most successful and enduring groups. Renowned for their relentless touring and unmatched work ethic, the band has sold over 7 million albums, earning the nickname The Hardest Working Band in Country Music. Their breakthrough sophomore album, Big Time, was certified as a double-platinum, produced multiple No. 1 singles, and earned them Grammy, CMA, and ACM nominations, including winning the ACM Award for Top Vocal Group.
In 2024, Billboard named God Blessed Texas the No. 1 song on its list of Best Country Songs Featuring Texas in the Title. Adding to the song’s legacy, country superstar Lainey Wilson opened the 2024 ACM Awards with her powerful rendition of the beloved anthem. Riding the wave of ‘90s country nostalgia, Little Texas continues to captivate both longtime fans and a new generation with their iconic sound.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of God Blessed Texas, a star-studded tribute album titled A Lone Star Salute to Little Texas was released in 2024, featuring 23 Texas artists reimagining six of the band’s most iconic songs. The album includes performances by the Randy Rogers Band, Josh Abbott Band, Casey Donahew, Aaron Watson, Rodney Crowell, Kevin Fowler, and Pat Green, each bringing their own style to new renditions of God Blessed Texas. The Eli Young Band and George Birge offered fresh takes on Amy’s Back In Austin, showcasing the continued influence of Little Texas across generations of country artists.
Reflecting on the song’s impact, Randy Rogers shared with Billboard, “This song made me proud to be from Texas. I discovered my love for country music right as this song was released, and I watched the video a thousand times. So this is truly a full circle moment for me.”
Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band echoed the sentiment in People magazine: “Their songs had a huge impact on the development of the band. I think that there were a lot of Little Texas songs that we tried out on the stage, and in turn, it helped in developing our own sound.”
As part of their appearance at Christmas in Ida, Little Texas will also be featured in the Granddaddy of Light Parades – the Christmas in Ida Parade of Lights, adding to the excitement of this year’s holiday festivities.
